THE MAPLE
HANGER
42cm
An untreated solid maple wood hanger with engraved Hanko.
Raw Materials
Maple (Acer) is a favourite of Japanese gardens for its seasonal colours and delicate leaves. Being deciduous, it marks autumn by losing its leaves. It is one of the densest species of hardwood and harder than Oak. It has a very fine, smooth grain with a satin-like ripple and a warm undertone. It is often used to make the necks and fretboards of guitars and also in high-end furniture.

Details
Our Maple hangers are a versatile 42cm in width and carved to follow the soft contours of our outerwear. The raw finish of the wood provides just enough texture to keep the garment in position without sliding off. The unfinished wood also allows natural oils like Cedar Tree oil and Camphor oil to be applied to help keep moths away.
